I agree, can be very confusing if you do not understand. But it is actually quite easy if you know how it works - and why it has changed - makes more sense.

With the old system, of course, were the routines judges a 10.00. If you made a mistake, you have to remove points. Return to sports in childhood, when all of Turner's almost the same capabilities, the system worked well - who makes the least mistakes is the highest score. But as the sport grew and began to exercise more and more difficult skills, has become a problem.

As a simple example: Suppose that the gymnast perfect somersault. She made no mistake, if they have a get 10.00. Then another gymnast was a triple somersault, perfoming also missingunnecessary. It is obviously the best gymnast, because they provide a capability is much more difficult - but not higher than 10.00. There is no way to reward your skills to the most difficult, so that links to the less-skilled gymnast.

At one point, 10.00 divided left and right. 1984 Olympic Games, there were 44 winners 10.00! To solve the problem, changed the rules to the difficulties and demands on the value of certain skills for a weaker growth. But the rules were changed at any time and in compliance with sports.

The new system solves some of these problems. That's how it works:

Two juries. A panel does nothing but check all skills that leads to the gymnasts. Each competency has a certificateAin point value with difficulties. The value of the 10 contests in the most difficult routines are added, and the sum is called A-score or a result of the difficulties. Most Olympic-level routines, an A picture of 5.50-6.50 points. An A rating of 7.00 is very high - only a few gymnasts that great difficulties.

A second jury observe the routine and deductions for technical errors (falls, fractures form, etc.. Subtracted) From 10.00 clock and, as before. This score will be run as a B-score or the score. At the end of the routine, the two results are included in the final grade. Thus, if a gymnast has a rating of A-6.50, and does not see any error, your score would be 16.50.

This new system means that a gymnasta falling beam, but still higher earnings as a gymnast who made no mistakes at all - because he had a difficult routine. There are advantages and disadvantages of the new system, but it is the best solution I ever found!

I! I'm not a fan of gymnastics, so that the notes are pretty confusing for me. As in the height of 16.5 is good, but in the pommel horse to 15.5 is good. So you never know what you should do the gymnasts in various events. Of course, if you know what note is 1.10 a good result and what not.

I! The assessment is too complicated and too easy to repair "," IMO. I also think it should return to the old scoring system irrepresentable skating. These are judges that are a problem, not the scoreboard.
